Hello, WhatsApp! In January 2024, I took a day trip bus tour from Shinjuku to Fujimi Panorama Ski Resort. The price is 5,100 yen per person including lift ticket! Uhahahaha! I enjoyed skiing to the fullest, even though I was worried about whether I would be able to pay for myself. In today’s blog, I will introduce the situation at that time. I hope this blog post will be helpful to those considering a day trip bus tour. Here we go, to the kingdom of dreams and magic!

The closest restroom is in the basement of the Shinjuku Mitsui Building on the opposite side of Chuo-dori Street from the west exit.

Features

Features of Fujimi Panorama Ski Resort

  • One of the highest elevation differences in Japan
  • Good access
  • High rate of clear skies

is. Let’s explain them in order.

Difference in height

Quoted from Fujimi Panorama Resort official website: Slope map

At Fujimi Panorama Resort, you can take a long cruise on a gondola over an altitude difference of 730 meters. Moreover, most of the courses are for intermediate and advanced players. The biggest attraction of Fujimi Panorama Resort is that you can efficiently ride the gondola as many times as you want on an intermediate-to-advanced course with one of the highest elevation differences in Japan.

access

Fujimi Panorama Resort is 7 minutes from the Suwa Minami IC on the Chuo Expressway. It can be accessed on the Chuo Expressway in 90 minutes from Hachioji, 130 minutes from Shinjuku, 130 minutes from Yokohama, and 150 minutes from Nagoya.

It’s close to the city center, so you can enjoy plenty of skiing on the day trip bus tour I took from Shinjuku.

If you are accessing by train, it is 135 minutes from Shinjuku on the limited express Azusa to Fujimi Station, and 10 minutes from Fujimi Station on the free shuttle bus.

Clear sky rate

If the weather is clear, you can see Mt. Fuji from the gondola.

The clear weather rate at Fujimi Panorama Resort is 85%! You can enjoy comfortable skiing under the blue sky while looking at the majestic Mt. Yatsugatake and Mt. Fuji.

There are restaurants at the center house at the base and at the gondola summit station. The menu and prices were almost the same for both. When I went there, the steak gozen was only available at the mountaintop restaurant.

I had dried sardines chashu noodles at the base restaurant. The boiled eggs were very delicious. The menma was also extremely delicious. Of course, the char siu was well soaked with flavor and was soft and delicious. And there were a lot of them. Water is free.

The dried sardine chashu noodles were 1450 yen.

The gondola station from the center house is far away for carrying skis, so it’s best to take the 4th lift and ski downhill.

All lifts except the 1st and 4th will close at 4pm.

The view while riding the gondola.

Even though it was a weekday, there were a lot of middle school students and children in ski lessons, but the gondola was always empty. There are almost no people on the slopes where you can ride a gondola down the mountain.

Beginners, children, and students gather on the family slope and center slope on the left, with the ski center on the slope map in the back, so I think the gondola course is empty.

This is where you get off the 5th lift and join the Alpine slope (intermediate course). You can also see Mt. Fuji in front of you here.

I enjoyed my last ski on the 4th lift, which is open until 4:30, and returned my skis at the rental station.

After that, I slowly changed my clothes, did some shopping at the souvenir shop, and boarded the return bus at 5:10.

[Fujimi Panorama Resort Day Trip Ski/Snowboard Tour] Summary of 5100 yen including lift ticket

“[Fujimi Panorama Resort Day Trip Ski/Snowboard Tour] I went for 5,100 yen including lift ticket” ends here.

My impressions of participating in the Fujimi Panorama Resort day trip ski/snowboard tour from Shinjuku is that we arrived at the ski resort at 10:30 and the 4th lift closes at 4:30 pm, so we were able to enjoy a full 6 hours of skiing there.

Before participating, I was a little concerned about what it would be like to go skiing on a day trip, but I was able to ride a gondola over and over again on one of the slopes with some of the highest elevation differences in Japan, and both the gondola and slopes were empty. So, I was so satisfied that my mind and body were enveloped in a pleasant feeling of fatigue.

Moreover, I think that 5100 yen including a lift ticket is extremely cheap for skiing this much. It’s 7800 yen including ski rental! I’m actually starting to worry about how they’re making a profit, haha!

We highly recommend this tour, where you can enjoy skiing at a low price on comfortable ski slopes with a high chance of sunny skies!

Thank you for reading to the end this time.

See you again somewhere in the world, have a nice trip full of smiles!
